Post 4: My Indignation

If you are not paying attention to a child, or the responsible response to their needs is evaded, it is very difficult to realize your mental health. According to Rehbein (2019), a report carried out in 24 countries worldwide shows that Chile leads the figures with the worst mental health in children under 6 years. Likewise, in Mental Health and Psychiatric Epidemiology Florenzano (2008) states that:

Throughout the twentieth century mental health problems have had increasing cultural visibility. This progressive “boom” of Psychiatry in this century may be due to a higher frequency or to a greater social awareness that mental disorders are extremely prevalent today. (p.49)

Parallel to this, it is worth mentioning that both parents and significant adults should not only be responsible for children as such, but also be responsible for their own emotions and actions. These have a significant impact on the children, and this causes mental health to deteriorate since childhood, if we do not open our eyes regarding the thematic.

Post 3: My favourite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is the bed, especially mine, it's the best. The bed is a piece of furniture with a frame where mattresses, pillows and sheets are placed so that we can sleep and rest. It is something that I require every day, but I only find her in my house.

On the bed I can do whatever I want, such as eating, watching movies, resting, and above all at night sleeping. I like it because I consider it something universal, that we all use or want to own.

Life without a bed could not be lived because we require a comfortable space to rest our mind and our body. Besides, sleeping in another side would imply not being comfortable and not being able to enjoy the wonder of sleeping in a bed.

Post 2: Why I chose this career

In my childhood I wanted to be a teacher or a dancer. Nowadays I am studying Child Education in the University of Chile.
However, it was hard to choose what major I would study back then, because I had a lot of options such as Obstetrics, Biology Education, History or Philosophy. What I did was to think a lot about it and finally I made the decision to study Child Education, because I think that childhood is the most beautiful and sweet part of life.

Currently, I am in my 4th semester, I have learnt a lot of things and it has been a rewarding experience, I will can to end up working with children from vulnerable places in order to help them become good people.

Post 1: Autobiography

My name is Aline Esperanza Donoso Ramos. I was born in the hospital "Sotero del Río", on June 21, 1999. I lived in La Pintana until I was six years old. Then I moved to Peñaflor with my dad Christian, my mom Karen and my little brother Felipe. In 2011, my second brother Marko was born.
During my childhood I really liked singing and dancing. My favourite band was The Jonas Brothers. Also, at the age of nine I practiced ballet at the Municipal theatre in Santiago.

I studied in two different schools in Peñaflor before I got accepted at Child Education Major in the University of Chile.
